Hazards of Type-G lift trucks
The forklift is essential for performing warehouse tasks. These extremely capable equipment lift and transport loads of immense size from one place to another. Lift trucks have a lot of variations. The primary variation is the way in which various units are fueled. "LP" lift trucks are the most popular kind. They use liquid propane. Type "E" lift trucks have large rechargeable batteries and run on electricity. Type "D" lift trucks are powered by diesel and type "G" utilize gasoline. While all types of forklifts, like any piece of heavy machinery, could pose a hazard, the type of lift trucks which are powered by gasoline pose the most risks.

Fire
Forklifts labelled type G could present a fire hazard. Gas forklifts are not made with the same rigorous standards. Gas leaks are the biggest cause of fire due mostly to gas leaks and also escaped gas fumes. This could result driving on extremely rough terrain and from normal wear or from accidents. These circumstances pose a risk and could result in fire. Hence, a standard Type G lift truck should never be used in conditions where elevated fire risk is deemed not acceptable. For example, these units must not be utilized around explosives or hazardous chemicals.

Explosion
Type G forklifts also pose a risk of explosion, as do those which run on diesel and liquid propane. A type of lift truck which operate on gasoline could explode as a result of a serious mishap in circumstances where a gasoline leak and an ignition source are present. An explosion can occur when sparks are created in the collision and the sparks ignite the gasoline.

Fumes and Exhaust
Because of toxic fumes, the gas forklift does pose a risk for inhalation, which could be deadly in higher concentrations. Fumes can result from gasoline leaks or from the exhaust itself. Thus, a Type G forklift is really not recommended for any environment which is poorly ventilated. The exhaust will present a serious hazard in enclosed places. This particular type of forklift should be used with caution when operated in close proximity to people.
