The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been outfitted with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined areas during industrial and construction applications. They are also recognized for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 model comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This specific unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were unreachable by typical jibs before. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature enables over and up reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system which allows for precious time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be fully elevated at the same time. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features lessens the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing both production and effectiveness.
