Rough terrain forklifts have been produced by CareLift Equipment, ever since the year 1962. Each and every day the company strives to deliver value and help all their consumers reach their objectives as they know the bottom line is performance and dependability.
There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These models are straight boom lifts and articulated boom lifts. Normally, these models are hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the great option for jobs that need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment is capable of rotating 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be raised vertically to below horizontal. As the operator is able to steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a really versatile machine. These units are available in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift models perform tasks which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically identical to the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily in the work site.
To be able to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is required prior to using boom lifts so as to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs that used to require a lot more man power to be completed in a much shorter time period. These machines have revolutionized the material handling business and have greatly increased production.
